9,989 people share my name in the US. I think that statistic is off by about 5,000.

My name is Jason Smith, and I went to school with another Jason Smith, and When I was in the navy, I had 3 Jason Smith's in my command! Also, most people over the age of 20 know a Jason Smith from somewhere!

Oh and get this, My middle name is Lee... It happends to be VERY common to match Lee with Jason Smith. That guy I went to school with was Jason Lee Smith also! And in the military I ran into another Jason Lee Smith. At least 25% of the Jason's I ran into had a middle name of Lee. So.. I believe the number is closer to 15-20 thousand people in the US with the name Jason Smith and at least 5-6k named Jason Lee Smith.

Nifty site!  There are 0 people in the US with my name, so I guess that means I'm just a figment of your imagination!

53,994 have the name "Noel", and 83% of them are male, which is funny - I was taught that
"Noël", with the emphasis on the second syllable, is the one indicating a woman, and "Noel", with the emphasis on the first syllable, is the one indicating a man, so shouldn't that be 100%?  Oh, well, rules are made to be broken, or something like that.

"But you can call me Flower, if you want to" - from the kid's movie Bambi, or something.

HEY, WAIT A GOSH DARN PICKIN' MINUTE,  it says 0 people with my maiden last name,  THEN WHO THE HELL AM I??

It said the same thing about my maiden name. So my mom and brother don't count either???
As far as my married name it said:
There is 1 person with my name in the U.S.A.

which isn't accurate either, cuz I have seen a person in Texas on the internet with the same name. Bah!

I'm also a Noël, but I don't use the umlaut.  Zero matches for my full name too.   Noël isn't a female version, it's the french pronunciation.  In the Philippines, many men are named Noël.  I've only met 3 other females Noël's, but I've met 20+ Filipino men named Noël and they've all thought it was hilarious that I'm a female with that name.    I dunno, it's pretty female sounding name to me.  I think they are the boy named Sue.  ;)

we all know susan is a popular name, don't need a data base for that. when i was in first grade there were 6 of us :) while this site is fun a more accurate data base is www.SSA.gov/ACT/babynames.  it is a list by year of all birth names registered. as an example the year i was born there were 40,168 susans born in the us, it was the 6th most popular name. in 2005 there were 883 declan's born (my grandson) the 350th most popular name. the data base holds information on the top 1000 most popular names. an interesting way to pick a baby name, especially if you're like my daughter who wants to make sure it is extremely hard for her kids to run into anyone with the same name.

That link didn't go through for me - this one works though http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/
