Hello, this is my first post and my introduction. I am new to this Journey. I was recently diagnosed with Stage 3A CKD. My father had it as well and took Dialysis back in the early 90s before he passed away. I am 53, wife of almost 34 years, have three grown children and two Granddaughters. Just recently began working on a healthy lifestyle to help delay this progression as much as I possibly can. Hope to learn from others here. Thanks for approving my Membership.

You are very welcome to IHD.  You will find a lot of information from many people who have varying experiences with CDK.

Would you mind telling us if you have a specific diagnosis?  Many different things can lead to diminished kidney function.  Can you tell us a little more about what your doctor has said to you?

If you have specific questions, please feel free to ask.  Or, you can search for just about any topic imaginable!

Hello AChangedLife and welcome to IHD,
There is a lot of information here on IHD and also in our diet-section and it is true, that a good diet can create a better chance to delay "things" and I wish you both good luck on your journey. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask ....
Best wishes from Kristina.  :grouphug;
