I tried searching but could not find a post on this already. My husband has been experiencing extreme cramps in his abdomen right at the exit site. He rearranged his office yesterday, all his PD supplies, and probably over did it. Should we be worried about the cramps? What methods have you found that help with that?

I would call your husband's PD nurse for advice. First, take his temperature, BP and weight, then call the PD nurse. If necessary, the nurse can consult with the nephrologist and get your husband some relief.

Locolized pain/discomfort in the abdomen can be caused by a number of t hings including exercise and/or diet.

I have had gas from something in my diet that bulged a section of my intestine so much I thought something serious was happening.  Fortunately for me  it did move, spreading out and soon enough worked its way through my system and began 'venting' out.

Gentle probing of the abdomen to isolate and identify the area, size and depth.  Hardness, pain level, are all valuable information to tell his Dr.

Hopefullly this will resole soon.
