Hi, my name is Sarah. I have stage five kidney failure and have been on hemodialysis for a little over a year now. I am a 31 year old female and I have lived in southern Oregon all of my life. I ended up with kidney failure due to type 1 (insulin dependant) diabetes. I was diagnosed with diabetes at only 2 years old and therefore don't remember life before insulin shots every day. I have dialysis 3 times a week, approximately 3hrs and 45mins each treatment. Although I have many health problems, and I hate dialysis as well; you will find that I almost always have a smile on my face and am continuously searching for reasons to be happy. Making others smile helps me a lot. My best friend even gave me the nickname Sarah-tonin! Haha! I am looking forward to meeting people here that are going through similar struggles and that can relate to me. Thank you for reading this and have a wonderful day!

Hello Sarah,
I am glad for you to be blessed with that great asset of being so positive and it certainly helps a lot when dealing with dialysis. I wish you the very best and send you my kind regards from Kristina. :grouphug;
