My favourite part of his speech on the subject is when he said America will not fall behind Russia or China on this. A safe promise, as I am guessing neither of those countries' leaders are even considering spending billions of their country's tax dollars on defending it from little green men, because, well, their leaders are not blithering idiots like the one America got landed with.

We're not talking Stargate stuff here, but planetary.   We need the ability to kill Russian or Chinese satellites and protect ours from being targeted by their killer satellites.   Add in the ability to point a death ray at any enemy on the planet (perhaps down to the individual level) and you have a powerful took for international diplomacy.    Throw in the ability to shoot down an enemy missile while it is flight.

I am aware that what I am going to mention here, might not be  particularly "fitting" into this particular Topic, but when I clicked  https://www.coasttocoastam.com/, I noticed that there seems to be an interesting programme/book coming up about William Shakespeare and the suggestions certainly seem to be on the "right track"  ... I have suspected for a long while, that William Shakespeare was perhaps the manager of the Globe and he put on the entertainment and the writers of the plays were perhaps a few gentlemen or ladies who had great fun writing. This theory could perhaps explain, why all of the plays can most certainly be put into different categories, suggesting, that each writer had their own special style in writing and thinking ... just mentioning ...

Not sure what post you were "outed" as a racist over, so cannot voice an opinion on that. But I do know that one of the first defences racists use is to start accusing non-racist things as being racist, so your comment here does give some credence to Michael Murphy.

Rerun, you need to learn the meaning of "Quit while you are ahead". When I first read your Obama comment my thoughts were that you are a Republican, and were simply throwing an insult aimed at your president onto the previous (democrat) president and that you had not realised the possible racist connotations. When Michael Murphy reported you, only moderators knew about it. From what Charlie B53 says, you got away with the comment. However by posting about it on this board ("Michael Murphy turned me in for being RACIST....") you told everyone, a lot of people will have looked back, worked out what post you were referring to and decided you were a racist then. Not everyone (I didn't), but some people. But you didn't stop there. Your comment "I think the title of this post is racist no matter who you are talking about." is the sort of standard mad defense we are used to hearing from racists, so condemns you out of your own mouth. Then after I have commented on this, you come up with another mad defense post of the type loved by hardcore racists, condemning yourself further. To start off you will have offended a few people with your Obama comment, but by constantly picking at the wound you will have convinced many more people that you are racist. Even I am now thinking "Rerun may have many good points, but for God's sake never leave her alone with a black man and a lynching rope." Before you defend yourself in future think "Is this a good defense, or is it the case for the prosecution."

This is a bad thing it itself. When someone complains about a post, the person who posted whatever is being complained about should never know who the complainer is, even if that person is a moderator. The board should be set up so that any such complaints go to a different moderator, who would decide what to do. This should be done even though you are listed as "Administrator/Owner".

However the worst part is that you are prepared to post this fact on the board. It is something that should either be quietly fixed by those with the power to do so, or ignored and swept under the carpet. However in no circumstances should it be posted about on a public board unless you are launching an attempt to force management into fixing things. Just posting about it in conversation brings the board into disrepute. That should never be done - ESPECIALLY by someone listed as Administrator/Owner.
