Fit Bit

Last night my nurse was showing me her new Fit Bit that takes your Blood Pressure and your pulse and your oxygen. The machine was saying my bp was 77/55 so they were shutting my UF off (which makes me mad) then I tried her Fit Bit and it was 117/70. So my UF was turned back on.
I ordered one from Amazon and it was $30. I'll let you know how I like it.
Anyone else have one that takes BP?

I'd feel safer comparing the machine to a manual cuff and stethoscope reading. Maybe next time ask her to pull it the old way against the two "new" ways? They have to have the manual version somewhere.
From what I know with my wife and friend's Fitbits (older styles) is they all have very bad battery life. My wife had three in under 1.5 where the battery stopped holding a charge (original Fitbit flex).

There is a couple of patients in my clinic that must have their BP's taken manually as the machines cannot consistantly read them correctly.
Strange, but the machines work just fine with other patients.

Because I have a working fistula in my left arm and a working graft in my right forearm, my pulse is weak so the machine automatic BP doesn't get it and it squeezes the shit out of my leg. So I bring my own that I put on my ankle. I'll try this fit bit deal and let your know. They are working on one that reads blood sugar. How cool.
