Vision problems?
«
on:

I have experienced this before but not as frequent as today. I was just sitting down talking to my sister and its like the lights flickered..
I asked my sister if the lights flickered and she said no..
I thought it could be in my head. Then it happens 2 more times back to back. Its hard to explain but its as if I blinked but I didn't blink. Kinda scary to be honest

If the symptom is in the form of bright flashes see a retina specialist yesterday. In any case, see an ophthalmologist soon. We are lucky here in Boston - we have an eye&ear hospital with its own specialized ER.
Bright flashes are a symptom of retinal detachment. They can do a lot to treat this, including laser tack welding of the retina to the back of the eyeball, but the sooner they catch the less they will need to do and the less damage to the retina.

Talk to your neph quickly. One of the questions mine always asks if I have had any changes in my vision. Just prior to the first time I was hospitalized and learned I had kidney failure, I pretty much went blind for a couple of days. Even with glasses I could not see anything except a occasional blur.

I got my eyes checked lets say sometime last year? I was prescribed glasses but dont where them as often as I should and blamed that for my even more blurry vision... but I'm getting treated for my kidney failure

MDs, even good ones, can miss things outside their lane. Get thee to an ophthalmologist.

I agree with Cass.. you don't want to play around with your eyesight, because trust me, once it's gone, it's gone. See an opthamologist. Even an optamologist can tell you if there's something wrong, but they'll just send you to an opthamologist.

Thought I would check to see if you had any further problems with your vision. Hopefully not, or at least you got some answers.

I asked my doctor first before making an appointment. He said that is either caused by low blood sugar or low blood pressure. And we all know i take the trophy for low blood pressure.
