I hope you all have a good Mother's Day and everyone call your Mom, Grandma, Aunt, special person in your life and let them know officially - You love and appreciate them:

Mom and I went to visit my grandmother. That woman is one tough old bird, and I love her dearly. She'll be 86 on her birthday on Thursday. She only has one leg, as the other was amputated in 2002 due to circulatory issues, and she has terminal cancer, but she looks like a million bucks. She lives on her own, in an apartment she and my grandfather moved into in 2005 or so. He died 3 years ago. My mom and I spend Christmas with her, and have since my grandfather died, so she doesn't have to get up alone Christmas morning. I'm hoping we get at least one more with her. I wish we could see her more often, but with us living in a different province, it can be expensive to make the trip. We try to go at least once a month.
