Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

He is in ICU with a blood infection.  Not sure where it started but one thought is a heart valve that he has stenois in.  Doctor seemed to think it might have started there but now she is not so sure.  If it did and the infection is big there it will mean a valve replacement which is very serious. Hopefully it will not come to that.  He was feeling a bit better this morn after one dose of iv antibiotics but his temp spiked again this afternoon.  I will try to update but no internet at the hospital

Unitl lalbs tell exactly what bacteria the infection is the Dr's should be trying posiibly, a three anti-biotic 'cocktail' of the most current strongest meds.  Given time this should reduce the size of the infection and give Walt more time for the Dr's to decide further action, whether a valve replacement is necessarily required.

This ismerely my educated thoughts.  But I wouldn't doubt if this is near exactly what is happening.

Luck doesn't seem to make much difference.  Pray?  Possibly.  Selecting the most correct medication and in large enough quantities to cause sooner effect.

My Prays won't hurt.
