Hello, My husband is doing home CAPD and reaches his dry weight. He cramps and no sure what to do, he doesn't seem to want to call the PD nurse so I am asking for opinions on here.
Should he continue to dwell using the yellow bags? I'm confused, PD nurse says to use green always, but the cramps make it hard to use his hands when capping on & off.

1984 double nephrectomy
1985 transplant from dad
1998 lost dads kidney, start PD
2003 peritineum burst, back to hemo
2012 start Nxstage home hemo
2020 start Gambro AK96

       still on waitinglist, still ok I think

Ah yes, this topic validates my suspicions.
I know a little bit about a lot of things, and a lot about a few things,  ::)
but part of this topic proves that I also have a zero level for some things.  :oops;  :banghead;

Diagnosed - October 2012
Started with NxStage - April 2015
6 Fistula grams in 5 months,  New upper fistula Oct 2015, But now old one working fine, until August 2016 and it stopped, tried an angio, still no good
Started on new fistula .

A PD nurse should know that 'always green' is not a very educated thing to say, especially on a matter of such importance. ::)
Don't change the dwell time though.
