Hi all,
Not sure this is the right section but wanted to be able to share my good news somewhere!

First set of results back today from my tests to see if I am a match to donate my kidney to my partner (currently on HD in clinic 3x 4 hours pw) AND we are a match and the hospital are happy to proceed to the second stage :) I know it will be a few months before the operation and other things could happen to prevent it but at this stage I feel the end is in sight for us all :) We didn't really tell any family when I went for the tests (my choice) but I suppose we can now share the good news :)

I am so very happy!!

That's awesome news.  I am hoping to hear the same thing myself one day...if they ever decide he's a candidate for a transplant.
