Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – real life ESRD experiences?

Have any of our members purchased insurance via the Health Insurance Marketplace?  If so would you be able to provide some insights on to the previous costs/policy coverage versus the current Health Insurance Marketplace costs/policy coverage?

I’m insured via my employer, but as someone with a chronic illness (Lupus and now ESRD) I see the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act changes as a giant backup personal insurance policy since I could get insured outside of my employers plan (or my wife’s) should I no longer be employed.
