Hi, Im Erickson Legaspi a dialysis patient for 6 months im 26 years old, My treatment is two times a week, is really pain in the a*s because it cost too much money,
im single and i live in my family, i have CRF, like my father passed away more than 15 years, also died of the same disease.

 :welcomesign; Eric!  You have found a great place for support and answers.  Nice that you only have to dialyze 2 times a week, but not so good that it costs so much.  Hope you can possibly have a transplant?  I have no idea how that works in the Phillipines (I am in the US), but would think the process would be similar no matter where you live.  Great that you can live with your family and have support if you need it.  Wishing you the best of luck with everything!

PKD diagnosis at 17
Cancer May 2011, surgery and no further treatment but placed on 2 year wait for transplant
October 2011 first fistula in left wrist
April 2012 second fistula in upper arm, disconnect of wrist
January 2013, stage 5 ESRD
March 2013 training with NxStage home hemo
April 2013 at home with NxStage
April 2013 fistula revision to reduce flow
May 2013 advised to have double nephrectomy, liver cyst ablation and hernia repair. Awaiting insurance approval to begin transplant testing. Surgery in June.
June 2013 bilateral nephrectomy.
August 2013 finishing testing for transplant, 4 potential donors being tissue typed.
January 2014 husband approved to donate kidney for me
March 4th 2014 received transplant from awesome hubby. Named the new bean FK (fat kidney) lol!  So far we are doing great!

Sorry to be late with the Welcome, Eric.  Glad you found IHD.  Lucky that you only have to do 2 times a week.  Hope that continues for you.  I don't mean your lucky, just glad that your'e not doing a bunch more dialysis every week. Sorry!

kumusta Erikson... i know it';s hard in the PI to do anything medically.. is so expensive there... spent a good while in Luzon back in the 80's and 90's.. love it there... mostly in Pampanga tho i did get up to Baguio many times as well.. hope all goes well for you M8
