Today REALLY sucks

On the way into work Ed got in a car accident. He was coming up and over a blind hill and found a lady walking across the road. He was going 35 mph so less than the speed limit on our rural road, but he couldn't stop before hitting her. She died on impact. He was driving my 15 passenger chevy van. The sheriff took my van so they could read the "black box" it has. they should have it for 2-4 days. The sheriff gave Ed a lift to work.
This is all so upsetting. So very sad that someone lost their life. Ed is a very careful driver.
Please pray for all concerned.

Oh how awful!!!! Your hubby must be shattered. So glad he was not speeding and he wont ( or at last I hope he wont) be being harassed by the police. Keep you chin up.

Oh my gosh. It must be devastating for Ed. I'm so sorry, and sorry for the woman's family, too. Accidents happen when they are no one's fault. Even so, the emotional fallout is awful. You will be in my thoughts.

I can't imagine how horrible this must be. Prayers for both families. I am so sorry. What a terrible situation.

I'm so sorry, Sydnee. It sounds like the lady was crossing at a dangerous point.

Oh gosh, poor Ed. I can't even begin to imagine how he must be feeling. *huggles* for all of you ...
(And poor lady too, obviously.)
