I'm new to this board, and I've got to ask how much on average does a person on dialysis get to eat and drink during the course of a normal day. From the bits and pieces I've been picking up it sounds like it ain't too dang much. If you folks could pipe in on this i would be gratefull

Take a look at http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=173.0  for fluid intake and http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=294.0  for diet.

Maybe you have already read these.  ;D

Ya know, everybody is different.  If you are still urinating, that makes a big difference on your fluid intake.  Your size also dictates the "amount" you drink.

Your "Lab Work" will tell you where you need to cut down or eat more of "whatever".  I have a BIG problem with Phosphorus.  I love milk and I eat a lot of protein which is good, but also has a lot of Phosphorus.  My Potassium is usually fine, so I could probably eat more fruit?

Don't worry, the Dietary Nazi will let you know what you should eat less of or more of.   :P
