:flower; Hello, my name is gfr queen. I live in Oklahoma. I am a 48 yr old female, married for 30 yrs with 1 son who is 7 yrs old. I was Born with congenital Kidney disease. Right kidney taken out at 6 months old, after Dr. tried to rebuilt it back in 1965. He was a great Dr. and saved my life but I think I was probably a test subject. Left kidney was then operated on numerous times through out my life. Only 1/4th of it works. I have polycystic kidney disease,CKD have had numerous stones, have a reduplicated double ureter coming off of the right kidney. I work in the medical field as a MRI tech in a hospital setting. I have a great Nephrologists and Urologist/Transplant Dr. I have lived with my Creatine 2.7 to 2.9 was normal for me, well now it has reached 3.1 with a gfr of 17. I have been healthy for the last 15 yrs. Now I have been wore down, achy, tired just all over malaise. And now I know the reason. Hope to be a great part of IHD family. However I have not started dialysis and hope not too. My brother is willing to give me a kidney, I hope that takes place before I have to go on the big D. Well thanks for letting me chant, hope to get many new friends.

Hi GFR Queen, cute screen name.  Welcome to IHD and I'm so glad you found us.  Let's just get that work up on the kidney transplant and GET ER DONE!  No reason to wait until you are so sick you have to start the big D.

Hope all goes well.  Come here often!
