One year ago (yesterday) I had my lower abdomen sliced open and allowed another man to stick his fingers inside me (*gasp*) so that Blokey could have my left kidney.

It is still working.

Yay, kidney!

Blokey isn't the perfect husband and he can be a right royal pain in the backside, but he does little things (rather than flamboyant gestures) which make me know how much he loves and appreciates me. So, instead of using this particular board to grumble and moan about him today, I'm just going to say that I love him and I'm proud that I was able to help his life run a little smoother, dialysis free.

I don't often allow myself to be proud of what I did, but today I am.

(I realise the previous sentence may sound a tad ridiculous, but it's my post and my mind so you'll just have to deal with it ... *grin*)

The great thing is that since HE is dialysis free, YOU are, too!  Dialysis is a drag on a spouse, and I am glad that you are both now free to just get on with your life together.  :clap;
