"There Is No Place Like Home!"

« on: August 07, 2012, 06:43:39 PM »

First off, I want to apologize to the group for being late in posting this.  I heard from her on Sunday the 5th, but have been so busy myself.  So please forgive me for the delay.

Barry had 3 Chemo trtments as of the 5th.  He started to run a fever so went to ER.  His white count was dangerously low (.5). He was immediately admitted and given 6 bags of antiobiotics and had 4 blood transfusions in a matter of 3 days.  He is very discouraged, but feeling somewhat better since coming home Thursday.

They found lumps on his lungs too.  It has been tough on them both. She knows Stage 4 is not a good thing, but she is spending all her time with Barry.  They are planning on trips this fall and are looking forward to the Holidays. She wants ALL of us on IHD to know that she loves each of us immensly.  She & Barry have been feeling our thoughts and prayers, and is thoroughly amazed at the outpouring of Love & well wishes that they have recieved from IHD. She is simply overwhelmed with gratitude to All!

On a personal note, I wish I could have gone to Las Vegas meet up last year.  This lovely couple have really done alot for this site.  Seeing Barry in those pictures and helping in his way, just touches my heart to the core.  Im sorry I could not make it and Im sorry to be so late posting this.

God Bless Each of you and please keep up the thoughts and prayers.  They need them Badly!!!

I'm thinking of them both and the rest of the family as well, every day.  Very special people indeed.  Thanks for updating us here on IHD.
