My diagnosis of Kidney failure came after I had been treated - 4 sessions of Chemotherapy and a Bone Marrow Transpant - for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
I have been on In-Center Dialysis for 7 months. I have had 3 surgeries to attempt P.Dialysis, but they were unsuccessful, as the evacuation tube filled with scar tissue. The fluid could be put into
me, but nothing would ever come out.
I have a graft in my upper left arm, but I am not able to stick myself,as I have the "shakes"so badly. At this time,all is stable and my labs are with in tolerance.
This looks like a great website. Congrats to Epoman and all his efforts on our behalf.

Hi Bertman and welcome to our site.  I sure hope the bone marrow transplant was successful.  When did that take place.  I don't stick myself.  It isn't a requirement here.  Where do you live.?

Hope you find this site educational and entraining.

First of all,  :welcomesign;. Secondly, how did they eventually get the fluid out that did go in your PD cath?

Thanks to all for the "Welcome" messages.
To: shay_pcb - They could not get the fluid out, until I began In-house dialysis, a couple of days later.
To: Rerun - So far the BMT has been successful, only time will tell. I am Carolina Blue from Charlotte NC.

Again, thanks for the welcoming messages.

Welcome to our community.  We are really glad that you decided to join us.  This is the place for anyone dealing with this renal challenge.  There is so much to learn here.   Many times, something I read here has been of practical help to me and helped me to avoid some kind of disaster. I am really grateful to this site.   Keep posting.  Rant or vent when you have to.  Ask questions.  Chat in the chat room.  Play some games.  There is so much here for you!   :grouphug;
