Hi everyone...

I'm fairly new to this board.  I was just wondering if there are many folks out there who's CHILD is on dialysis or has gone through/is going through a transplant...

My 2-year-old had a transplant about a year ago, and I'm finding that there aren't many people that have been in my boat, at least in the "real world"...I'm hoping to connect with some people who have youngsters that can identify!!!

Hi Jessica - Good to see you here! I  know you from caringbridge!
I cannot believe Gavin is already 2 years old - such a cute guy!
Have you also posted with The National Kidney Foundation? There are
message forums for transplant recipients and patients - you may find
someone there http://www.kidney.org/patients/mboards.cfm.  You may
find parents of young recipients that post here - and they sometimes have
a chat http://www.kidney.org/transplantation/livingDonors/shareEmail.cfm
There's also a email discussion for living donors - I know there are a few parent's
on the NKF listserve http://www.kidney.org/transplantation/livingDonors/index.cfm.
I think Gavin's story is unique but I am sure there must be someone with a
similar story.
Best wishes!
Karol

Here's another option http://www.aakp.org/aakp-library/Parents-Support/index.cfm
it's a listserve for parents of kids with kidney problems.
