Welcome to IHD. mymoonring,

I'm so glad you found us, there is a lot of information here and it will take awhile to digest everything, but that is why we are here.

IHD is the best source on the web for dialysis related information because we are a patient driven and owned website. Basically you will read true life experiences instead of the Doctor or clinics point of view.

Our members will be brutally honest and open when needed, they will tell you their experiences and what worked for them. You can take the information with you and make an informed decision regarding your treatment.

Hello Mymoorning and welcome to our site.  There are quite a few people on this site that does home dialysis.  Are you doing NxStage?  If so you should also visit www.ilovenxstage.com which is a sister site to IHD.

Hope you find this site educational as well as entertaining.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.   :welcomesign;

Hey Kelly,

Welcome to IHD. :welcomesign;

I really love home hemo. I hope that whatever you are doing it works out for you.

I too have PKD and we were never able to trace it past my Father. I would really like to know, however our family were farmers in Ohio and most of the death certs. stated natural causes. Not too much to go on.
