Sometimes "stumbling" across something by accident can turn out to be the absolute best!    :thumbup;

I get it.  This weekend I visit my 87-year old mother and my sister at the beach house.  My mother's favorite activity when we visit is to go out to eat.  I hate restaurants because of the temptation to break my diet.  What makes it worse is my mother always asks the same questions.  Can you eat this?  That?  The other?  Tuesday I go to Disneyland, and I had planned to cheat.  But I have changed my mind.  We get labs taken near that day, and I want to keep my numbers in the target zone.

I hate it when people in my family asking me that question over and over again, too.  It happened to me lastnight: Can you have popcorn?     ::)

I consider myself very lucky here in this department.....  :2thumbsup;

it does not bother me that people eat 'forbidden' foods around me.....

this is not their disease, its mine and I say you only live once.........  :2thumbsup;

now, if it really bothers you, what I would do (and I have done/do) when someone is eating something that is unhealthy let them know how unhealthy it is for their kidneys, but it really does not bother me what other people eat. I can not ask others to make exceptions in their diets for my disease (especially when you are eating out......someone should not have to make exceptions just for you, that's crazy, family or not ESPECIALLY when eating out!!  I can tell you, If I was eating out with a vegetarian and all they eat is tofu I sure ain't gunna eat that crap, nor will they Expect me too either
