 ???How often does the transfer set need to be replaced.
I've had mine for over a year. The valve operates at least three time a day. Thats over 1095 times in a year.
I just hope it doesn't fail at a random time.

I was told that mine would be replaced evry 6 months.

I have been on pd since January and it has been replaced once. I was also told every 6 months

Mine was  replaced  every  six  month.     The  first  Wednesday  of  April,    and the  first  Wednesday  of  October.

I'm on the six month schedule with everyone else, at least that is what my PD Nurse told me.

My clinic replaces the transfer set every 4 months.

it has been a while since i was on pd, but if i remember correctly, every 6 months.

Should be every 6 months but come to think of it my husbands not been done for a while..I need to get on to it.

At my clinic it is every 6mths and if you had peritonitis they will replace it after the antibiotics are complete.
