Hi, I have been visiting this forum for a while. There is some great information on here. I have been doing PD on the cycler for just short of one year.  I look forward to interacting with all of you.

Welcome to our community!  Since you have been visiting, you already know that this is a great place for information, support and encouragement.  Could you tell us a little more about yourself?  General location, how your PD has been going, etc.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Thanks for the welcome. You are right this  is a great place and people are certainly a very caring group. I am from Mississippi, but I am now in Louisiana. I was in Louisianawhen I got sick and was taken to Louis Chabert Medical Center in Oct 2009. This is one of the LSU schools. I did not have any insuranceand at the time was still in MS, so they tried me for $25 a month. They are the nicest people. So when I found out I was going to need dialysis, I moved over to LA with my brother. At that time I was told I was Diabetes, Had Congested Heart, Failure, High BP and Cholesterol. Not Much. I did not find out about my kidneys until about 4 months later. Even though I am Diabetic, I chose to do the PD because I like the freedom. I will say it has not been easy with the diabetes to do the PD, but I am doing the best I can to keep it under control.

It's very nice to meet you.  So you have been lurking!  I thought someone was looking around. lol.

I'm not on dialysis and am very careful about my diet.  Have had a couple of bouts with acute renal failure and that was a wake-up call.  There are so many friendly people on this forum.  Sometimes when I feel blue or (pissed off), I just cruise the forum and never fail to get cheered up and have a good laugh.
Lots of information and exchanges of experiences.  we are having a meet up in Las Vegas in October and am so anxious to meet some of these wonderful guys and gals.

   :welcomesign;  msrosefromms & fellow Aquarian! (My husband & I both are Feb and we got married in Feb)
I did disaster relief in LA after hurricane Katrina. Fell in love with the state & the people.
Even though I am not diabetic, I do watch my diet carefully because both of my grandparents were "borderline" diabetics.
Glad you've stopped lurking and decided to join us. Besides all the kidney info, there are plenty of other things to talk about with this great group of people!
Again,  :welcomesign;
