Keep your eyes upon the Lord!

« on: September 15, 2011, 05:20:33 PM »

Hi!! My name is Michelle Mulder, but most call me Shell. I'm 32yrs old, and have been on dialysis almost two years now. I HATE IT!! It's soooooo boring, and time consuming all in one! I get close to the other patients, and they pass away on me(I'm close to the youngest up there). I have multiple illnesses(Lupus, RA, Raynaud's, TTP) to name a few, but dialysis and kidney failure are my hardest challenge, by far. I hate the diet, I hate the swelling, headaches, cramps and just feeling lousy afterwards. I am thankful for the nurses and staff, their awesome and make it much easier!
A little more about me-
Born and raised in Michigan, now live at the West end.
Have two brothers and a sister
Married with one daughter, that I've adopted!
I Love the Lord and KNOW He brought me through ALL my trials
I'm currently on the transplant list for Madison, WI
I love to fish, hunt, cook, pick berries, can(just got into it) attend church, be with my family!
Any questions you have, I'm open, will answer no problem-Just ask! Thanks for the welcome! =D

Welcome Michelle!  Sounds like you have a load of health problems!  It is good that you love the Lord! I love Jesus too.  It helps to have him close in times like these.

Look forward to your posts, and again Welcome aboard,

Hi, Shell!

This is a great place to find others who really UNDERSTAND what you are going through.

Since you admit to hating dialysis, you get to join us. :P

I've been to the UP a couple of times; it's a wonderful part of the world.

Hi Shell and welcome to IHD.  I'm so glad you found us.  I hate dialysis too but trust the Lord that He has some reason and teaching in mind for me.

I think you will find our site the best out there.

Welcome from a fellow Michigander!  I'm a troll way under the Bridge now - although I was in St. Iggy for a while, and was dialyzing there when I got the call.  No place like da U.P., eh?
No place down here that sells a decent pasty, that's for sure!

Oh, there's a place in St. Ignace that sells wonderful pasties...what's the name of it?  Is it Betty's or something like that?  Betsy's?
