I feel like im going to bust...
I am pretty sure i have about 30 to 50 lbs of fluid on my tummy right now.
Thing is, i have normal bp, so when we try for 5k my bp drops really low... my feet are not swollen, and my doctor is a butthead.

Last year, when doing pd, i had 54 lbs of fluid on me, same senario, and i could not convince him that this is not my normal anatomy! Turned out that i DID know my body better than he did, and as soon as they fixed the pd cath, the fluid started leaking out of me...
I have asked the nurses to call him many times over the past 2 weeks, and still nothing, i have not seen him.
i went to the ER on monday, because i was uncomfortable, figured maybe they would help me. I found out I have a hernia, but they did nothing about the tummy being so huge... I look like im 9 months pregnant! and i normally dont...

Im at a point i want  to stab a straw into my tummy lol i wont, but thats how bad i feel.
im throwing uptoo...
i cant handle this and i dont know what  to do!

I was about to post on your FB status that you should go to casualty (ER) but a quick look here shows me you've already been!  Perhaps you should go again today?  You do know your body better than anybody else, after all.

(Besides, I really can't stomach [sorry for the pun!] the idea of you exploding!)

I hope you go, and that if nothing else they at least put your mind at rest.  Are you on haemoD now?  Have they not got a doc to look at you there?

(sorry, memory like a thing with holes in it)

*huggles* for such scary-ness.

If you're on PD now, it sound like you might have an overfill. They warned us about that. I would do a manual drain but not do a fill. If you're on hemo, start screaming at them to help you. Sounds nasty. If you can't seem to drain at all you may have fibrin clogging your tube. Either way go back to yelling for help. They should help you!

I figure ill go tomorrow as planned, and if my attempts to get help are failed again, then i will go to the er, again...
this is so ridiculous...

GCM, you don't think that your hernia could be "strangling" do you?  If it does, you need to get your "tail" to ER and quick! Good luck my friend!

This sounds serious!!! This is a Friday!!!!

Get to the hospital and insist that a nephrologist see you and tell EVERTYHING!

Not everybody has the same symptoms from fluid overload. Don't let anyone put you off. You HAVE to get some help!

GCM, the thing is, you know something is wrong with you and it could be as serious as Internal Bleeding going on!  I say get to the ER and stay there till they can tell you what is causing this swelling! Please, don't take chances with these idiots, go and let us know whats up, ok?

uh oh, sister this does not sound good.
the fluid maybe can be drained off with manual flushes, but the blood is a different story. DH had that recently and he is on hemo in center. it did pass but don't know what caused it. with the hernia i would be concerned. :cuddle;

SO i talked to my dr finally, who says maybe u should go to the er... i said i did on monday, he said well maybe u should go again (why cant he help me??)
i went to the er again,  waited 6 hours in the waiting room, before finally getting into see someone, he came in, he said werent u just here? yes yes i was...
So i waited some more, waited, waited, waited.... finally i go to ask whats going on, he says my lab work looks grreat, and i say well if u guys arent going to do anything i might as well leave, right? he says, ur going for an xray. ok...
so i do that, and he finally comes back to tell me i am full of poop. and sends me home, telling me to take over the counter lax.
So, even though i am sure that i am full due to constipation, that doesnt really explain the super huge prego belly i have had since 2 weeks ago, when i had diareaha! it would make sense if it hadnt been like that from before the constipation...
im so irritated.

I don't really know what to say. If the x-ray showed up that you are full of "poop" why didn't he give you a heavy duty laxative that we get at the renal unit. One that really clears you out. did he say any thing about your hernia? You will have to push a lot more and get your renal DR to sort you out. Go by your gut instinct and push the sods until you get some thing done. Remember this is your life.

he acted like i was a nusense ...
i bought an enema but it says its full of salt and phosphorus... im going to do it anyway and just watch for signs of that.
im so sick of these doctors, i know im am not the best patient in the universe, and i tend to go against all odds for some reason. my brother calls me a medical anomaly lol
now my left side is sunken in, the rest overly bloated, it looks odd

i try being nice, i try being assertive, nothing works.

i miss my original dr, but he retired :( he at least listened to me and tried to figure stuff out.

It seems so odd to me they would tell you to go home and use an enema when you have had bloody stools. I would think that wouldn't be safe! You need to get a second opinion or go back to the ER and insist on a different doctor.

Good luck...and don't stop...you could have something life threatening and you need answers ASAP!

GCM, you better get some help before Vegas.  You have alot of people who want to meet you!  So you get this resolved, Ok?  Quit being so nice about this, this could be very serious, and I would not stand for it!  Demand, demand and Demand again till they satisfy you with answers and get you back to feeling like you were!

Good Luck

i tried being assertive last night, the only way left is to be a total... witch. i figured my dad, who is a pushover like myself though, might stand up and say hey im her dad, and this isnt normal, but he didnt...

idk how to be a witch but ill try that i suppose heh

i will be going to las vegas no matter what! i dont care if i have to be wheeled there with stuff hung all over me, its happening lol im too stubborn not to

im tired of the pain, and he said stop the pain pills, so i did, and im miserable.
now my left side seems to have caved in, the rest still huge, i did manage to eat dinner, so far it has stayed in place.

i thought that myself, why an enema? and he didnt even address the bleeding, at all.

It sounds like you could have a kink or partial blockage in your bowels, which can be very dangerous. If it were me I'd get some Miralax, it will move the constipation (which is a side affect of pain pills) and if it doesn't, you really need help from a doctor! Two friends were hospitalized with similar problems. I don't understand why they aren't concerned.  :boxing;
