My name is Radkin Honzak, I´m man, 72 y, from Prague, the capital of Czech Republic (Jager´s home). I used to work as a liaison psychiatrist in dialysis unit from 1980. After first experience I founded the first Czechoslovak self-help group of dialysis patients, their families and friends. I´m editor in chief of our printed journal STEZEN (THE MAST) up to now and I am working for part-time in transplant progremme (assessment of living donors).
I´ve found these pages last week during my search on PICA.
I hope I may stay there with you, yet I´m "externist", but by no means stranger. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to our community, Radkin Honzak!  So glad that you found us (even if by a strange route!)!  I can see that you are very involved in the fight against this renal challenge. This is a great place to be.  I look forward to hearing lots from you.  YOu have found a wonderful group of people - in fact, this is a genuine family :grouphug;

Hi Radkin and welcome to IHD.  Your past sounds very interesting.  You could tell us a lot of the history of dialysis in your Country.  Did your country use to be Hungary?    Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself.

Welcome to our support group, radkinh!  It will be interesting to have a professional's take on supporting those of us with ESRD.
