my husband has not been well for the last 9 weeks, heart attack, trapped nerve in his back and he completely went off his food, appetite very poor. His dietitian told him to eat any thing he fancied just to get him eating. He started having porridge for breakfast, a thing he never has because he does not take milk, he went off eating red meat, so no red meat.Dinners with veg, he went off them.  He has been living on home made soup, rice pudding, bacon and tomatoes all the food he is not supposed to eat.He had his bloods taken yesterday and I said to the nurse that they would be crap. Got the results to-day and they are the best his bloods have been for 2 years, even his GF has gone from 4 to 7 so what is this all about. Is it less eating, I do not know, its got us both baffled.

Yes, if you don't eat very much you can probably have what you want.  But, that is no way to live.  I hope he feels better soon and gets some of his appetite back.  His protein was good???
