Just for fun!
Are your taxes done?
Did you get money back
or are YOU writing the check?

How about deductions?
Did you claim medical ones?
It's the only plus
I know for dialysis.

All those medical bills
and the cost of the pills
may at least relieve stress
from the IRS.....

Hope the taxes are filed.
You either frowned or smiled.
But, all will be fine
if you make the April 18th deadline. :clap;

Ugh!!! No I haven't done my taxes yet. With a govt. shutdown looming.....I don't even know if I would get a refund check anytime soon.  I was reading that refund checks would be slow in coming if the govt. does shutdown.

I have to do my taxes asap every year because I use my tax refund to pay my county/town property taxes that are due in February.  Then I get to save to pay for the September school taxes.  I have to use the income tax as a savings plan of sorts to pay more taxes :urcrazy;

I put my refund in my mouth - and put my dentist's kids through college.  I got a new crown.  Bye-bye refund!

I was on Medicaid for most of the year, and my only income is disability, so I don't even bother to have taxes taken out, since I never owe any.  Any percent of nothing is still nothing! The only reason I got a refund this year was because I paid tuition.

I also read that the government shut down will slow down refunds.  This is what I get for procrastinating. Yay. Me.

What I want to know is, how is a government shut down going to save any money when less federal employees = more people collectiing unemployment??? Also, with this shutdown in place, how much OT is going to be paid once these services are back up, and the backlog has to be worked w/fewer employees???  Am I the only one who is thinking that I'm living in one of the dumbest countries on this earth???  :urcrazy;  ???  :stressed;

All hail to the mighty ones who came up with *this* boondoggle of a plan...  :bow;  to them, I say  :sir ken;

Mine are done, and I had an $11,000 tax bill to pay.  GE doesn't have to pay tax, but I do.  Welcome to the US of A, a plutocracy in the making. ::)

Well, mine are nearly done, I just have to print them out and sign. Of course, I am an income tax preparer, so I put my clients first mostly. Oh yes, and I have to pay too, maybe that is why I hold off. And BTW, the last date for filing this year is April 18th.

I did my taxes about a month ago.  The sooner I get that chore out of the way, the better I feel.  I would have done them even sooner, except that my mutual fund companies didn't mail their final statements to me till the middle of March.

Got ours done last week!  We owed, but not no $11,000. Good Gravy, MM? How do you live Dear?  I don't mind paying taxes, but that is rediculous!!!!!   With all that you have going on and all, that is unconscientunable (not sure of the spelling)
I remember back in early 90's the Fed. gov't did shut down, but dont know remember the effect it had at that time!  Apparently not much, cause theyre still around to take our money!!!!!
