OH, that is just awful....
Nothing I can say will help, except I'm so sorry.
It is one thing to say that these are hard times, but it doesn't help when you are hit with them....
I wish I could do something.

I am so sorry for your situation, WishIKnew.
Unfortunately, it is not unusual to happen to people
when they get “health-issues”,
and their life spirals out of hand.
Please take great care of yourself,
I am thinking about you
and hope you find your way.
Kind regards from Kristina.

That's sure a lot to take in. How are you holding up otherwise? I know you can not see this right now, but sometime along the way you wlll find you're holding up and things are starting to work out. They may not be exactly the way you wanted things, but we get what we "need", not always "want". Right now is a very trying for you. I hate hearing this.

Thanks for your kind works. We are currently lost in the details of it all.
You know how it is when someone you loved dearly has died. You sleep a restless sleep and wake up slowly. In those first seconds of consciousness everything is normal, then you remember your loss and the heavy dark blanket of grief wraps snugly around you again. That's how our financial problems feel right now.....

what a sickeningly awful true discription... Im so sorry............ You may not believe this but have you heard the saying "this too shall pass" ? In my many years of life, i have faced a LOT of extreamly difficult times. Each one does take it's toll, and it's own time to resolve..But resolve and pass it does. I pray that this 'awful thing thats happening to you right now, passes and brings something wonderful that wouldnt have come if not for this. I pray for peace and strength...

Wow! That saying's at least 1000 years old. It must have provided solace to many generations in the past. I hope it also does so for WishIKnew.

Oh, Diane! I am so sorry this is happening. This is an all too familiar story in America. I hope that you do not let guilt and shame make a devastating time even worse. Remember that bankruptcy is a second chance given to you by the US Constitution, and many people have exercised this option and gone on to rebuild their lives faster than they thought possible. I am hoping you get through this quickly.
I wish I were there to give you a real hug.

Oh Diane...
I'm so sorry to hear this.... You aren't the first, and sadly you won't be the last...
As you'll probably have heard, we're having dreadful financial problems in this part of the world too... My best friend's business went bust... He's in his sixties... He and his wife had their beautiful home repossessed, and they're now living with a daughter...
There have been so many people here having nervous breakdowns, and saddest of all, the suiscide rate has soared... When my late brother was buired in a small local cemetery, the grave next to his, and the one next to that were of two men who died by suicide, both businessmen, one in his sixties, and one in his thirties... Both had huge money worries...
I can only say that you WILL get through this, you WILL come out the other side...
Meanwhile, I hope the whole process is as painless as possible for you and your family...
May God bless and protect you all...
Thinking of, and praying for you all
Love...
Darth....

Thinking of you. I hope this story may give some help and not sound like I'm trying to belittle what I can only imagine must be a terrifying time.
My cousin and dear friend took over a family business originally started by her grand pop. The family were very well off, lovely home, etc. Over the course of time the business ran into difficulty and both of my cousin's parents were diagnosed with Alzeimers. Her Dad is in high care and her Mum needs constant assistance. Since declaring bankruptcy, they have lost their home and possessions and had to completely change their lifestyle. They now live with their son. BUT in the two years since, both have found work and are coping amazingly well. One thing I always remember is how surprised my cousin was by the price of food - and the family business was a supermarket!
I know well the 'grief' feeling that follows the calm awakening and the shock to realise everything has gone so wrong.
And I'm so sad that this has happened to you

When I was in what is the equivalent of your grade five, I used to get into trouble a lot. I didn't mean to get into trouble but it just used to happen and I would feel so badly. Then one day in grade six, I realized that some of the things that happened to me were now only a memory. So I said to myself "That means that anything that happens now will only be a memory next year". That is now my philosophy when really bad things happen, especially financial things. And it is true. What was a mountain a couple of years ago is now just history.
I hope that you will soon be able to look back on this and say 'We made it through'.
Your IHD family is with you all the way, holding your hand through this.
