World Kidney Day 2011 - University Kidney Research Organization
Join UKRO And USC Keck Researchers For World Kidney Day At A Community Conference Presented By Building Bridges To Optimum Health

UKRO will be exhibiting at this educational health fair, designed as a community dialogue to help increase awareness of kidney disease and mobilize communities to become active in the promotion of early detection and prevention. This is a unique opportunity to talk to USC Keck School of Medicine researchers about kidney disease and the latest innovations in research. There will be informative panels, plenary sessions, and small-group break-outs on a number of different topics, including Federal health reform and policies for kidney disease, eating healthfully in tough economic times, and managing stress associated with chronic disease. We hope to see you there!

What: A community conference with presentations by kidney disease experts, community leaders and persons with kidney disease.

When: World Kidney Day, March 10, 2011 8:30am-3:30pm

Where: California Science Center Exposition Park at 39th Street & Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90037

Audience: Patients and families who have been affected by kidney disease, medical and social health professionals, community leaders, government officials and political representatives.

Projected Attendance: 400 people
