The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is pleased to host the upcoming HealthLine program titled, Understanding the New ESRD Bundling Payment System: How will this change affect me and my dialysis treatments?

This FREE, educational conference call and webinar takes place Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. ET.

If you are not on Eastern Time (ET), please be aware of the time difference. For instance a call at 1:30 p.m. ET would be held at 12:30 p.m. Central Time (CT), 11:30 a.m. Mountain Time (MT) and 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time (PT).

Understanding the New ESRD Bundling Payment System (March 31, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. ET) is designed to educate individuals on the following information:

    * How dialysis treatments and other dialysis services were previously paid for;
    * An explanation of what a Bundled Payment is and what services it will and will not include (ex. dialysis treatments, medications, lab tests, etc.);
    * How will dialysis patients be affected financially and treatment wise;
    * How does the Bundled Payment System affect home dialysis patients (hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis) and;
    * How to ensure you still receive quality care.

Uninterrupted in-center (self-care) hemodialysis since 1982 -- 34 YEARS on March 3, 2016 !!

No transplant.  Not yet, anyway.  Only decided to be listed on 11/9/06. Inactive at the moment.  ;)
I make films.

Just the facts: 70.0 kgs. (about 154 lbs.)
Treatment: Tue-Thur-Sat   5.5 hours, 2x/wk, 6 hours, 1x/wk
Dialysate flow (Qd)=600;  Blood pump speed(Qb)=315
Fresenius Optiflux-180 filter--without reuse
Fresenius 2008T dialysis machine
My KDOQI Nutrition (+/ -):  2,450 Calories, 84 grams Protein/day.
