Hello Everyone
My name is Tim, I am 24 years old and I live near Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I am very new to dialysis, so new in fact I haven't actually started mine LOL. So I have a medical condition called Alport Syndrome, some of you might be familiar with it others maybe not. I really don't know what to expect from all of this, I know I have chosen to do nocturnal home hemodialysis, and I find out this week when I get my access point put in. To give you a little history it was Oct 2009 when a doctor at the local hospital noticed my kidney function was low, a little over a year, 1 biopsy and a battery of medical tests and I am soon due to start dialysis. I would enjoy hearing from people who are in similar situations and look forward to reading your responses.
For now;
Tim

Tim, I'm so glad you joined us. This is a great place to learn and vent about dialysis.
