I'd buy my hubby the bestest tractor EVER and pay someone to re-do all our fences so that when he puts sheep in a paddock, they'd stay put!!!
And I'd stay where I am and do the same as I'm doing, just do it easier and better. Oh, and fix the house so it doesn't leak in the rain.

Buy a house.  If the lottery covered it, considering the price of houses these days I doubt I'd get past the deposit!
If I won big big big then I'd buy a house for me and a house for dad too.  And if it was really big, a house for my brother.  I'm obsessed with houses.

If I did win that large sum of money, I would think of my self first due to health. The first thing I would do is invest some in the money market, a CD, or some form of safe investing to keep money trickling in due to medical expences thatI know will ocur. Tat and open a savings account.
 
As jbeany said, I would not go public!
 I know my friends, so along with giving my parents some, I would help my friends and also set up college funds for their kids. They would only get the funds if they attend college and have to keep track of what is spent and show receipts (like Medicaid does to meet a spend down) or it goes back to me to be a life lesson if they quit, get low grades (for blowing off classes), o just do not want to go.
 
I would get my own house and have it enhanced with products for low vision such as motion detection lighting on stairs at night,, a camera system for the front door so I can see who is there at night (I don't answer the door right now), and have a nice fenced in yard for atleast a large dog such as a doberman.
 
I will not give any money to a politician though, they will just want more and more each year and then sick their buddies on you asking for money.
 
I would want to go somewhere to drive me in a race car, drifting, dual seat F1 or Indy, Pike Peak, or a Ralley of some sort to experience a high rate of speed.
 
Then I ould set up a program at my college to support students who can not afford low vision equipment hat would help hem with their studies. AND I wouldn't make them have to be a full time student to get help like most organizations here do. I then would give funds to my low vision clinic to help people in a certain income bracket. As for transplant groups, I don't know, but either way with anything I do, I do not want my name on something or bring attention to myself. I like to be the one in the background nobody knows about.
 
Lastely, bribe the Girl Scout Organization so they will sell the lemonades cookies in my area, or to truck in a pallet of them for me to eat.

The very first thing i would do is buy a Dyson ball vacuum

and then the very next thing I would do is pay off all my immediate families homes...

I like the idea of being a secret santa to unsuspecting people as well..

I don't have many wants, just to be able to not sweat my bills....that would be great...

I like this idea.  I especially like the motion detection lighting.  I never even thought of that.  I would need markings on the stairs too, to tell one step from the next.  When I tell people that I find it easier going up stairs than down, they just don't get it.

When I went to a Technology conforence for people with accessability needs, there was a company that had lighting products. Their main focus was on anti seizure lighting using  what I would call mood lighting (changes colors). But  their products used fiber optics which was shown working under a carpet, which I would adapt for my use. Some products are meant for someone else that could have been easily geared towards people with visual difficulties. I might have picked up their brochure, but they will be back in October at the conference. The products are different than what is used in theatre settings.
 
Yes, it is easier going up than going down for me too.

I would make sure my son and grandkids were set for life.

I would do a lot more traveling with my seniors group (as health permits).

I would pay down the mortgage on my house as it ain't worth the paper it's printed on!

I would give a bunch to the Kidney Beings Renal Support Group (a support group that I run with a friend of mine) so they can keep meeting.

Probably eat out more often as I hate cooking.

Donate a bunch to kidney research and/or stem cell research.

Can't think of anything else.
