That was super fast according to my Atty who did the application and such.    So before the years end, send your tax free donation to Etta's Gift!   :clap;

Seriously, if anyone is interested in donating just PM me.  I need to get busy now getting the word out!

If you're on Facebook search for Etta's Gift and become a friend!!  I would greatly appreciate it!    :2thumbsup;

Last I read there was a bank situation due to not having the letter. Is that all right now with that letter in hand?

No, the bank situation is just the stupid bank that wants to deduct $7 every month because the balance is below $700.  I only opened it with $100.  I may have to eat the $25 I spent on checks and close this account to move it to my old credit union to avoid ridiculous fees like that.

I didn't feel comfortable asking anyone for donations without the exempt letter.  Now I can put together my request letters and such.

One more step!

I'm presenting my "Etta's Gift" based Excel spreadsheet project to class for my final grade tomorrow.  Do you have that computer program?  (It's part of Microsoft office, along with Word and PowerPoint.)  If you do, let me know, and I'll send what I did along and we'll see if we can adapt it into something you can actually use.  I did a few fun things with setting up information sheets that download Unos's daily waiting list stats into the program every time you open it so all the graphs and charts automatically update.  The donation list that automatically calculates the quid pro quo donation amount and keeps track of whether or not you have sent out disclosure statements might be more useful, though!

I'm also passing out fliers with the link to my state's organ donor registry.  Might as well recruit a few more to the cause while I'm at it!

If you don't have MicroSoft Office and can not afford it, you can download for free Open Office.  It will convert all the Microsoft Office products: http://ooodocs.org/download-openoffice/?gclid=CKz8-M_Y7KUCFQN7gwoduQy4qA

I don't have PowerPoint, I don't think.  I'll check with my husband and let you know.  I'd love to see it!  I never gave you anything!  SORRY!

I did, however, receive my first donation to Etta's Gift yesterday!  My good friend, and ex co-worler, Patty and her husband Abel.   So thankful!  I was going to go deposit today, but got a strange tummy ache and stayed home all day.  :(

Cool!  First donation must feel awesome - even if your tummy doesn't!

Check with your husband, or we'll figure out how to use the Lone IT's suggestion and make it work with that.  My prof should have it graded and back to me in a week or two at the latest, so I'll see if she has any suggestions for improving it before I send you a copy.

I got on my soap box to make my presentation, and asked them all to consider signing up for the donor registry.  Several of the kids who hadn't done so did from the computers in class.   :bandance;  Of course, they listen to you more if you hand out cookies while you stand on top of the box - heart shaped, because that's what the "I'm in." sticker to put on your ID has on it.  I did tell them to check out the site on Facebook, but I'm talking about broke college students here, so don't hold your breath for any cash, kelly!  (Well, never hurts to ask, right?)
