I went to the dentist to-day; the first visit in years. Result:- 6 of my remaining 9 teeth filled. No anaesthetic. No pain. No need for future appointment. Cost $603, fully covered by the Government as I am an old coot with chronic health problems. A good day.

Old coot?  I have not heard that phrase in a while, lol.  I also went to the dentist today...  I had a permanent crown placed and then a "comprehensive oral examination".  No novocaine?  You are "one tough old coot!" :2thumbsup;

If your tooth's dead, it can be drilled pain-free.

I had a wisdom tooth that my dentist wanted to extract last month. I didn't like the idea of an extraction, but he only did a drill & fill on the basis that there was no guarantee. I reckon that with ESRD I'll not live long enough to call on that.

Cost me £90

Keep smiling Galvo  - life is full of little pleasures, if you just know where to find them. Who would have thought they would be hiding at the dentist office?  :2thumbsup;
