Congrats on the pager and making the list!

Don't worry, it's perfectly normal to be scared.  Such a list of things to worry about - Will I get the call?  What if I miss a call?  How long will I wait?  What if I get sicker and get bumped off the list?  And even if you do get the call, then there's a huge surgery and possible rejection, and on and on and on. . .

It's amazing they don't pass out strait jackets with those pagers, actually.  You would think that would be a requirement. . .

Just remember, you're doing this for that little cutie you are holding in your avatar picture!

Congratulations on getting your pager John :2thumbsup;
I thought you might like to hear about when I got mine.  In the UK, renal units don't normally handout pagers! it was only because my unit was donated 20 by a mobile phone co.  When I was given one, I was told that no-one but the unit had my no. so, if it ring's it's US! I was really pleased, because I had already booked a weekend break in the North west Highlands (very remote!).
On the Saturday night, my pager ALARMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but, the problem was I didn't reckonise or understand the number?
I tried ringing this strange sequence of numbers, but, the line was dead, I then phoned my renal unit and they had no idea why this should happen!!! all they knew was it wasn't them...I read out the number and one of the nurses thought she reconised it! and she had.  It was the National Lottery Numbers (a free service from the mobile phone company)  I  just wish someone would have warned me.  :banghead; :banghead; :banghead;
