Thanks to you all. I am currently on a 48 hour Family Day pass at Ft. Benning, GA. Basic isn't as fun as I had hoped, lol but it's alright. Only 5 more weeks. Next week we are doing a 10 mile ruck march with about 65 lbs on our backs. Last week we did 8 miles. Two weeks from now we go on a 10 day field training exercise and on the way back from it, we ruck march about 12-16 miles, with about the same amount of gear. Yes, it's been
great

Best of luck Patton in everything you set for yourself to achieve. 5 weeks isn't so long LOL, but all that hard work might make it seem like a year.

God Luck on the treks, I'm sure you'll make it, you have the attitude to carry you through it. That training will pay off. Just remember no marching to the tunes of those used in the movie "Stripes"

Patton is no longer in the Army. He got an honorable discharge after 9 months. He went to school for awhile in Florida for motorcycle mechanics and then got his class D security officer license and is currently looking for work in Florida with his wife.
