This may sound like a silly thing, but after D. my voice goes up like two octaves. Does anyone else have that happen to them? I sound like a little girl and it lasts for hours. I can even hear it in my own ears. I hate to open my mouth. I don't know why, but even the people around me can tell the difference. Everyone can tell my D days by my voice.
Any input?

I actually lose my voice after dialysis, it becomes real hoarse.

I think dialysis tends to affect everything in the body, so why not the voice. Mine tends to get very gravely.

Yeah - I play guitar and sing, and I notice sometimes that I loose a lot of my top range.... it really sucks.

Voice changes and hoarseness are likely due to the drying effect of fluid removal during dialysis.

May 13, 2009, went to urgent care with shortness of breath
May 19, 2009, went to doctor for severe nausea
May 20, 2009, admited to hospital for kidney failure
May 20, 2009, started dialysis with a groin cath
May 25, 2009, permacath was placed
august 24, 2009, was suppose to have access placement but instead was admited to hospital for low potassium
august 25, 2009, access placement
January 16, 2010 thrombectomy was done on access
