wow GT that is not a long wait at all! In my area in Ohio I believe it is around 5 to 7 years....eek!
I am wondering though if having O blood makes it longer since that is the only blood type you can accept....does anyone know?

Congratulation :clap;,  I've been on the list since April of this year.  I hate the wait and in our AREA is 1-5 years.  I think that lenght of time is feeling more and more sick where it will get you off the list.  I really think here in ABQ that they dont transplant from Cadavers . If you have aa family  member who is willing it's quicker.  I feel it has to do with money.. A cadaver cant pay.. I'm just saying.  Why does it always take 1-5 years and most wait for 5 years or more.

Yes, those with type O blood may have a longer wait than average.  At least that is what my transplant hospital told me.
