Hi im Andy after being on PD at home which went drasticly wrong 2 years ago I have been stuck doing dialysis 3 times a week a   my local dialysis centre, having to leave my wife and 3 children drives me crackers but had no rooom for the home dialysis machine availiable, I have been fighting to get the new portable Nx stage system 1 machine and have FINALY go good news have been accepted and hope to be home dialysing by xmas, just wanted to share the ggod news, if you not heard of it look it up Kimal are going to be the distributers of it and it looks fab.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

Congratulations  and Hello to you. Are you considering a transplant or able to go on the list? I'm chipping away at the qualifications that the U.S. requires in order to be listed. LOVE, VERA

how super exciting!!!  we too should be using the NxStage at home by Christmas  :pray;  Getting close to training and we are so excited too...  Would love to hear how your training goes :-)  Happy for you!!

I have heard that Salford Health Trust are piloting a NXstage trial at Salford Hope Hospital.

Hi all thanks for the replys have got a start date of 13 dec someone from kimal is coming out to train me and the nurse from the hospital at the same time, could be fun lol. Am realy excited and cant wait to start, am hoping to get back on the transplant list early next year been off it since 2007 since complications from doing PD dialysis had to have major op because of sclorosing peritinitus (not sure of spelling) ended up with huge open wound on stomach had to have a vac system on it for months still has an weeping wound now which they are trying to sort before puting back on list also ended up with stoma so been through the mill a bit lol but chin up hopfully thing looking up lol
