I know that by reading lots of posts, that I have only been on Dialysis for a short amount of time compared to lots of people.  I have only been on for 6 months!

I have been getting very discouraged and depressed.  It seems that no matter how hard I try to do the right thing as far as my treatment, that nothing good happens.  I follow the renal diet as best I can, I watch my fluid intake, all that stuff!   :stressed;

But yesterday, I had a visit from my Nephrologist at the center.  WOW, what a surprise!  He didn't send his N.P.  Anyway, he looked at all my test results and was very pleased.  Everything looked GREAT, my KT/V was 1.92!!!!!!!

So, finally, he dropped my time from 4 hours to 3 3/4 hours x 3/per week  :cheer:.  I WAS SO HAPPY!   Even that 15 minutes seems like HOURS to me.  It was like he breathed in life into me.  Finally, something good has come at all the hard work and struggle that I've been doing.  It FINALLY paid off! Today, I have a renewed sense of purpose!

What a good day   :yahoo;. . . but I STILL HATE DIALYSIS!!!!!

Good health is just the slowest possible rate at which you can die.

. . but I STILL HATE DIALYSIS!!!!!
As soon as I've been connected up, I plug my DVD player into my ears and watch an opera or ballet. I find that these art forms distract me from what's going on. They allow me to enter a world of serenity and beauty, thus escaping from the reality of a living nightmare.

That's why I'm hoping to someday be able to afford a 3g ipad so I can watch Netflix movies.  There's a lot of Shakespeare on Netflix.  I need the 3g one because there is no wifi connection anywhere near my dialysis unit
