We're hoping to start training in the next few weeks.  I read of different 'codes' and things that happen (rightsides epasode) that i should know about ahead of time that they may not train for but wait for 'the call' when it happens..  Any suggestions are appreciated..

oh, ps :)     I LOVE your "too blessed to be stressed"..  And, are you training to do it all yourself??  thanks

Boswife, I'm in training now and everything will be covered.  Don't worry - you will be able to ask alot of questions because you will receive a test after each chapter.  Don't worry about that either because as time goes on you will start to get it.  It took me two weeks before I was able to set up the machine without looking at the instructions but I have them out just incase.  My trainer repeats things over and over again whereas I have no choice but to remember because I hear her voice in my head.  Anyhoo, you will be trained on everything and giving a test to be sure you understand it.   At first it will seems like alot but after a week you will start to get it. Well at least I did.   Just hang in there and don't give up.  8)

Dailysis patient for since 1999 and still kicking it strong.  I was called for a transplant but could not get it due to damage veins from extremely high blood pressure.  Have it under control now, on NxStage System but will receive dailysis for the rest of my life.  Does life sucks because of this.  ABOLUTELY NOT!  Life is what you make it good, bad, sick, or healthy.  Praise God I'm still functioning as a normal person just have to take extra steps.

Exciting, and scarry.  Im so glad to hear of others doing the same.  So, your feeling pretty good about it it sounds..  I'll love to hear anything else you have to offer.  Was the first needling *OK*?  Im going to be starting that part in about a week i think.  Well, thanks again.  All the best to you...

boswife,

Congrats on choosing NxStage. Im sure you will be much happier being in contro.  When you are training, you may seem like you have information overload. Dont worry, Just take things in steps and dont try to learn too much at once. Dont be afraid to ask any questions no matter how simple nor complicated they may seem.
Will you be using buttonholes?
Let us know how your training goes.....

Thank you M3Riddler  :)  I think we will be too im just wishing it would hurry and start while i have all this motivation and 'will' to do his cannulation.. (needle phobic dooing hard time learning to just watch..lol)  Im so glad that i have head from all that it does get learned!  Im one who starts to block things when i get overload but being well informed that it's HUGE at first, and gets better, is a very big blessing for me.   Hubbys buttonholes are well established BUT being at a center that wont let me start now to just do his needles so im his 'constant' it's really frustrating me watching different techs working with those precious buttonholes.  I do a lot of praying  :pray;  I learned today that we still have 3-6 weeks before we get to start  :'(
and ......a bit off topic but  when we get to go to our favorite restaurant we order the "M3" so it's funny when i see your name..
