I am still new to all this dialysis stuff. My husband only started dialysis last Sept 2009, shortly there after we started training on NxStage. We have been home since Feb 2010. I read a lot on here which is a great, because without all of you I would be totally lost. When we trained on NxStage I was never clued in as to what the goals were for adequate dialysis for my husband. I read on line that KT/V of 1.2 is considered adequate, but I am not sure if this is right because my husbands KT/V has been 1.87, 1.61, 1.68, 2.34, 1.97 and 2.04 but he was told by his nurse his clearance is not good. Can any of you tell me what you clinic considers good KT/V clearance?
... but he is being told he can not do 5 treatments a week because he signed a contract saying he would do 6 treatments a week and if it is to much for us to do 6 treatments a week then he would have to go back in center...
