The defense of the U.S. team has a lot of holes and the forwards cannot score, so it is disappointed to see the U.S. lose, but is not surprised. England did not play any better than the U.S. too.

Okay...in 4 years I sure do hope that they have instant replay.  There have been some seriously horrible calls.  Game changing mistakes. The games should be won and loss by the players not by the officials.

Hey Stoday did you hear that the England team visited an orphanage in Cape Town today. “It’s heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope,” said Jamal, aged six.

JOHANNESBURG – With global criticism raining down upon him, FIFA president Sepp Blatter did an about face Tuesday, both in tact and possible tactic.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter apologized to England and Mexico for major officiating errors.
(Ivan Sekretarev/AP)

Blatter acknowledged major officiating errors in round-of-16 losses by England and Mexico, said he apologized to team officials in both nations and promised to reopen the debate over introducing replay technology, including video review, once this World Cup was over.

Glad to see Argentina utterly humiliated as I cannot bear coke-snorting Diego "Hand of God" Maradona (and I don't mean the cola...).

Been away for awhile, but not from world cup. I was sorry to see Ghana lose. It would have been nice to see an African nation in it until the end, or at least closer to the end.

So, in less than 30 minutes the final begins... an all European final unfortunately. Who to root for Netherlands? Spain? I wonder who they are rooting for in South Africa? Netherlands with their Afrikaner ties? Nelson Mandela would tell everyone that the past is the past. Spain, Espana the mother country (we've been watching it in Spanish on Univision because of the passion...
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!
Que emocionante!

It's a little sad that it is coming to an end. Whoever wins, I just hope that it is an exciting game.

Brazil in 2014? I understand that the vuvuzela shipments have already begun   ;)
