I did my hair all the way through the process, and after both transplants. I did not get my nails done for 6 months, and then I bought my own manicure set. Always be very careful when getting your nails done with a transplant. You can get a very ugly infection if someone is not using sanitary techniques. I suggest getting your own manicure set. Enjoy!!!

Hair dye for me at 4 months - only waited that long because I was too sick to think about it before. If mine had gone according to plan, it would have been more like 3 weeks. . .

I was told I could color my hair a few weeks after, but they told me to stay away for very very black dyes.

I had my transplant almost 3 months ago.....I think I had my hair colored at about 6 weeks. I had a mani - pedi at 2 months ( bought my own files, buffers, and pumice stones) and I watched them get everything else out of the autoclave sanitizer. I go to a spa to get my nails done...I think it's a little safer than the strip mall nail salons.

I still color my hair - I am on PD. I do go to the salon to get it done. I use to use a box but way too messy. I don't want to get anything on my cath. Whats up with black dyes?? My hair is black.....my stylist uses a "dark brown"

I don't really remember the reason. I wasn't going dark so I didn't really pay attention. If you have a good cooridinator they are very helpful with questions.

I waited a few months after transplant for highlights....only because I wasn't sure until that point that I was going to have any hair left!
