Hi David I hope things are going well.  This is the place to be if you are new to Dialysis because there are loads of people that have been doing this for years.  We always try and answer questions.  Hope you like it here.

Dont want to put a downer on everyone on PD but just watch for any sighns of swelling or pain in your tummy I was on PD and ended up with very bad sclorosing peritinitus and now have a big open sar in my stomach belly button is on the left of my side its that big, they couldn't get my insides back in when they opened me up they were that swollen and had to have what they call a vac sytem on where by you cover your insides that are haning out and have to carry this machine around all the time that causes it to be sucked back in till it ll goues back in. Not pleasent and something I was not warned obout when I started pd. Please please just be aware.

Welcome David, nice to meet you.

My husband is the one with ESRD in our home and we do at-home Hemo Dialysis.
