Atleast you didn't have to have repeated ekg's prior to surgery because people couldn't get their crap together.
Tough call on what would be better to do tomorrow, I want to see that movie to
Can't wait for the DVD to come out so I can see it.
If you do have surgery Tuesday, good luck and be sure to tell them if you took a Xanax and dosage.

Why don't I have her emergency contact info?
I wish I did, I would call and see how she's doing.
How long is hospitalization and recovery from gall bladder surgery? Anyone know?
Sending some "radar love" MooseMom, hope you can feel it.

When the doctors where thinking of taking out my gallbladder, they were telling me 1 to 2 days stay. Of course everyone is different to depending on method of removal. It may start out as laproscopic, but may need an incision to remove. I'm sure she's fine, just doesn't have internet access or a pc nearby.

Well, everything went well enough...the anesthesiologist gave me the same drugs as usual but just gave them to me more slowly. They also gave me an anti-nausea med beforehand, which was nice. However, instead of it taking me an hour to wake up, it took FIVE, and the anti-nausea stuff SO did not work. They gave me two more anti-nausea meds, but I puked all the way out the door. The poor nurse had to dress me because I just could not open my eyes. They wheeled me out to the car, but the motion of the wheelchair made me motion sick, so I was throwing up all the way. The lady pushing me wheeled me into the bathroom so that I wouldn't scare anyone, I'm sure. People must have wondered why those mean hospital guys were making that puking lady leave... But I made it home and slept it off. I tried to control the pain with just Tylenol, but on my fourth night home, I was so sore that I couldn't sleep, and I took one of my prescribed pain pills which left me so dizzy for the entirety of the next day that I spend most of it just inert. I guess I didn't realize that "just day surgery" still isn't easy peasy to recover from. And on top of it all, last week I had my adenosine stress test as required by the tranplant team, so I was in a right state. Too much all at one time. I'm a victim of my own impatience. Thank you all for asking after me; that's very thoughtful. I haven't been online in forever. I hope everyone is doing ok!

I know a little about the nausea part. I never had it prior to my knee surgery, so when the anesthiologist asked about it, I said no. Well when I finally woke up and started to move around, the cran grape juice they gave me came up the second time I got up to get dressed. I then threw up the next morning when I got up.
Glad your doing a little better and it was somewhat a better experience for you MooseMom.

Out patient surgery is an insurance company invention, not sound medical practice.
Glad you managed to get through it all, MM!

I agree 100% plus it makes it harder on people who have no one to rely on.
