Balanced Bags

For some time I have been suffering from a gnawing pain on the PD fill. My renal team believe that the acidity in the fluid is the cause. So I am about to have what they call a balanced bag which is fluid on one side of a bag and bicarbonate on the other side. Before I start an exchange, I have to squeeze the bag to mix the two solutions. Will be a little time before they arrive so I am hoping it will help. Has anyone experienced such a thing and more importantly, does it work?

Well Murf this is a new one to me, hope it works.
 We took a delivery  to-day for a months lot of bags about 40 some thing and I was only saying, will a time ever come when we get a powder substance where we could just add our own water to save the drivers being cream crackered going up and down our stairs. I feel so sorry for them. Let us know how you go on.

Did a little research. It is also called split chamber and another, double chamber bags.

Have been trialling balance bags for a few days and I can tell you that they work like a dream. At present, I am using the old type and the new type. Always get inflow pain with the old sort but zero pain with the balance bags. If anyone on PD and suffers like I do with inflow pain, I would recommend these without hesitation.
