Relocating from NC to VA

I wasn't sure which topic this should go under.  If I posted incorrectly, I do apologize.

Question? How difficult would it be to move from one state to another after a transplant?

My husband's job is making us relocate again after 10yrs.  I'm now 1yr. 2mos. post transplant and I'm scared.

I don't have the exact date on when the move will take place but I know it's before the end of the year.  I'm stressing out because...
(1) All my doctors and transplant team are here
(2) My youngest daughter is a Sophomore in High School - currently hating us right now for taking her away from her friends
(3) My oldest daughter is a Sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill - does this mean we will have to pay out of state tuition? or can I use my mother-in-law's address to avoid the high tuition?
(4) My job is here that I love and will not make the same kind of money elsewhere due to the time I've put in.
(5) All my family and friends are here.
(6) I love my house and its current location.
(7) Most of all I just don't want to move, but we must.  We can't afford for my husband to loose his job.  If he looks else where, it still requires a move.

I am sorry.  This is going to be so hard emotionally for all of you.   Can you switch all of your daughters info at UNC to your Mother's address now, before the move?   Maybe establish her new home address way before you move.

You have so many things to worry about with a move; you more so than others.   What does the transplant center say? 

I bet your youngest daughter is hating all of this.  I feel bad for all of you.  We can almost feel your pain in your post.  In these tough times, most have no choice but to relocate because there just aren't other jobs.   I am so sorry you are dealing with all of this.   

We HAVE to get together before you head toward Virginia.  We will work on that

rookiegirl - sorry you have to move.  But to answer your question about moving in regards to transplant follow-up, according to my doctors it is not that big a deal.  They will transfer you to the nearest transplant center where you are moving.  (Well, it is only not that big a deal if you like your new team.) 

Really tough having to move when you like where you are so much.  I can't even imagine.

I keep thinking about this and how hard it must be for you.    I wondered if your daughter at UNC changed her drivers license to her grandmother's address now, that would help continue her in-state status.    Let us know how things are going.

I'm still in denial.  I try not to think about until I see the official paper works.  My husband will be traveling next week to Richmond to meet all the folks he will be working with and mentoring the new college engineers.

I did apply online for 3 different positions similar to what I currently do "Financial Analyst".  Haven't heard anything, but then again it's only been a week.

Just don't know what to do.  It's not real to me...YET!

I have been stress eating and so far I've gain another 5lbs. since I heard about this move.
